Ercot Appoints Stream Energy Managing Director to Working Group Leadership Position
Eric Hendrick Is New Vice-Chair of Market Credit Working Group
05-13-2009 – Stream Energy’s Managing Director of Wholesale Operations, Eric Hendrick, has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Market Credit Working Group, an organization created to provide the Wholesale Markets Subcommittee with input and recommendations on issues of credit risk management.
Eric Hendrick received the appointment after his selection by various market segments, an indicator of confidence in Hendrick’s experience and judgment.
The Market Credit Working Group addresses issues such as credit risk mitigation, the impact on credit from ERCOT protocol or market design changes, and best credit practices. The Group is an open forum which submits recommendations to the Wholesale Markets Subcommittee of ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc.)
This is Stream Energy’s third year with representation on ERCOT committees and subcommittees. ERCOT operates the electric grid, manages the deregulated market for 75 percent of the state of Texas, and oversees retail transactions. Stream Energy’s appointments are made through the Independent REP (Retail Energy Provider) Segment of ERCOT.
