Senior Director – Regulatory & General Counsel
Darrin Pfannenstiel serves the General & Regulatory Counsel of Stream Energy, with responsibility for oversight of compliance with federal and Texas state laws regulating the electric industry and direction of the firm’s regulatory and legislative efforts.

From 1999 through 2002, he was a Staff Attorney in the Texas Department of Insurance, where he represented management and staff in the Life, Health & Licensing Division. During 1999 and 2000, Darrin served on the Appeals Tribunal of the Texas Workforce Commission, in which position he adjudicated unemployment, wage claim and employer tax liability cases under the purview of the National Labor Relations Board.
Darrin has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wichita State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law. Darrin aspires someday to branch out as a Life Coach Nutritionist, based upon his deep-seated conviction that too many Little Debbies turn our nation’s youth into Big Debbies.
